Creating a Circle and Inviting Others
Open the DePassport app.
Navigate to the section where circles or groups are managed. This might be labeled as “Community,” “Circles,” “Groups,” or something similar.
Look for an option to create a new circle. This is usually marked with a “+” icon or a button saying “Create Circle” or “New Group.”
Click on this option to start the process.
Name Your Circle: Choose a name that clearly represents the purpose or theme of the group.
Add a Description: Write a brief description of what the circle is about. This helps potential members understand the group’s focus.
Set Privacy: Decide if the circle will be public (anyone can find and join) or private (invitation-only).
Customize Settings: Depending on the app, you can set rules, customize the look of your circle, or add specific features relevant to the group’s purpose.
Direct Invitations: If you have the usernames or profile contact details of the people you want to invite, you can add them directly.
Shareable Link: Many platforms allow you to create a shareable link. You can send this link via email, messaging apps, or social media.
Promote Your Circle: If it’s a public circle, you can promote it on your profile or other relevant circles to attract members.
Moderate Discussions: Monitor conversations to ensure they align with the group’s purpose and rules.
Engage Members: Regularly post content, start discussions, or organize events to keep the group active and engaging.
Adjust Settings as Needed: As your circle grows, you might need to update settings or rules to suit the evolving dynamics.
Set Expectations: Communicate what behavior is expected and not allowed in the circle.
Encourage Respectful Interaction: Foster a welcoming environment where all members feel comfortable participating.
Connecting Respectfully and Safely
Before the Connection
Encourage your match to use DePassport’s photo verification feature. This adds an extra layer of trust and authenticity to user profiles.
Utilize DePassport’s video chat or voice call features to have a virtual meeting. This helps you feel more secure about who they are before meeting offline.
Arrange to meet in a public place. It’s safer and helps both parties feel more comfortable.
Inform a friend or family member about your date’s name, meeting location, and the time of your date. Also, plan to contact them once you’re safely back home.
During the Date
Be cautious about sharing sensitive information like your home or office address immediately. Get to know your date better first.
Connecting Respectfully
Verify your own profile on DePassport and suggest a video chat before the date. This reassures your date about your authenticity.
Consider planning activities that don’t involve alcohol, like visiting a museum, walking in a park, or trying out a roller skating rink.
Have an open conversation about comfort levels and boundaries, including preferences for outdoor or masked meetings, especially considering ongoing health concerns.
